Hi There 2015!

Hi World and hello to you, 2015!

This was my view on New Year's when the clock struck 12.

I hope you've all had a wonderful holiday and a great first couple days of the new year!

2014 was a good year. I can't quite say it was the best in my life, but there were a lot of big things that happened for me. I took my SATs. I visited a country I've never been to before (Canada!). I applied for a job for the first time and had my first job interview. I didn't get the job, but hey, it still happened. And finally, I applied for college. I'm still in that process, but again, it's a thing that happened.

Today, I'd just like to set a couple of goals for 2015. Not necessarily New Year's resolutions, but things I'd like to achieve this year.

  1. Get a job before going off to college.
  2. Blog at least twice a month.
  3. Complete a school project at least a week before its due date.
  4. Step out of my comfort zone and say yes to more things.
These seem really simple, but I didn't want to overreach with these goals. For example, one thing I would like to stop doing is procrastinating. I mean, let's be real here. EVERYONE procrastinates. More or less for certain individuals, but everyone does it. If you know someone who doesn't, kudos to them. Congrats on their productivity. If you're someone who doesn't, that's amazing! Good for you. I, however, am not that kind of person. So, I've put it down to not procrastinate on a school project at least once. These goals are relatively simple and when I achieve them, I can add on to them as I go. Ya know, all about that progress. Immediate change is hard and maybe impossible. Take it step by step if you want to achieve something big.

Number 4 is a rather ambiguous goal. It's definitely not as measurable as the other three, but it is something that I'd like to do. I'd just like to find more confidence in myself and do things I wouldn't normally do. Ya know, add some excitement to life.

2015 is going to be a very big, very important year for me. I'm going to prom. I'm going to graduate. I'm going to turn 18 and technically be an adult (ew). And I'm going to college. I'm going to freaking college.

Here's to a year of success with these goals, the creation of many, many happy memories along the way, and just an openness to new adventures!

So tell me, how was your New Year's? Do you have any goals or resolutions for 2015? Let me know down below!
