OOTD | Autumnal Colors

Hi World!

Last Sunday, I wore this outfit. Again, simple, but this time, with seasonal colors! I thought it looked really autumnal and I'd like to share it with you in this quick little post. I try to make the best out of a season that doesn't exist where I live. This week has actually been fairly cold, but apparently we're going back to sunny SoCal weather next week. *sighs* Sorry if OOTDs aren't what float your boat, I'll be sure to blog about other things soon.

Here it is! Clearly, I was very happy in this outfit.

Yup, breaking out them poses again. What's down there, Lexx?

Oh. Something in the sky too?

Smile :)

Shirt - Kohl's
Pants - I don't remember. Sorry!

OOTD | Halloween 2014

Hi World!

Long time, no... read? Sorry I haven't been blogging lately. I've been preoccupied with family weddings *cheers* and the dreaded college applications *cries and dies*. Maybe I'll talk about those stresses another time, but today I'm going to do a belated Halloween post.

This year, I was Bruce Banner. Ya know, the Hulk when he's not the Hulk? Originally, my group of friends were going to do a group costume and collectively assemble as the Avengers (which woulda been SO COOL), but unfortunately, that didn't come to pass due to costume complications.

So here's the costume! It's super simple and pretty ambiguous (I'll get to this later) for a costume, but I thought it looked similar enough to Mr. Banner. I just wore a purple dress shirt, brown pants, and those shoes that I wore on my first day of school this year. Also, do you like the multicolored pumpkin-bucket things on the fence?

Here's me with a little Halloween banner (Bruce BANNER! Haha, get it? No? 'Kay moving on then) that we also had on our gate. Ain't it cute?

Oh, yeah. If you hadn't noticed from the other picture, I was wearing some glasses. They're actually 3D glasses with the lens knocked out. I don't quite need real glasses yet, but I sure had fun playing around with the fake ones!

Alright, going back to that costume ambiguity thing... my dad basically told me the night before that no one would ever know who I was because the costume looked so generic. So, as a result, I made a little name tag to clear things up!

Halloween this year was really different than past years. I didn't go trick-or-treating with my siblings. In fact, only one person in my family, my sister, actually did this year. This meant less candy. But that's okay cuz she got a lot and we're still working on her bag! Side note: my favorite candies when I would go trick-or-treating were Kit Kats, Snickers, and Twix. Also, I got really really excited when I got those Life Saver gummies. I'm not a hard candy kinda guy. I like my gummies and my chocolate.

This year, I went with two of my good friends to The Haunted Trails in Balboa Park. I am a wimp, so I was initially petrified at the thought. But, 'twas the season to be scared right? Plus, I knew I'd have fun with my friends. Lemme tell ya though, the planning leading up to this was a nightmare. Anywho, Haunted Trails is essentially, well, a trail. It's a trail of mini haunted houses where people try to scare you. One of the little house had a strobe light that was discombobulating more than anything. People seemed to teleport and frighten you. Not a fan. Another was this school bus that you had to walk through with clowns sitting in every row... and you didn't know which one was real and which was not. So they jumped out at you at random times and it was... quite the experience *shudders*. My friend kinda clawed at the back of my shirt as she walked through it with me. There were also chainsaws at the last house. Fun times. I didn't take any pictures as I was a little busy being terrified. Haha.

I admit that Haunted Trails wasn't as scary as I thought it was gunna be. I put myself into a calm, collected mindset that would make sure I didn't produce any inhuman sounds as I walked through the trail. Mentally singing some T-Swizzle helped too (I "Shook It Off" if you will... hehe). I was first the whole time (thanks friends), but it wasn't all bad. My other friend kept cracking jokes, which made things easier. I will say there were moments where I needed to hold a hand... and I did.

After Haunted Trails, me and my two friends wandered the city area next to Balboa Park. We mindlessly explored the streets as we tried to find somewhere to eat. Eventually we made it to Pinkberry and I had some pumpkin froyo. So seasonal.

I'll be sure to blog more this month because it's kinda the start of the holiday season! So exciting! Though, has anyone else noticed that Christmas seemed to start like a month earlier this year? My local supermarket plaza already has ribbons and things wrapped around their light posts! Anywho, the holiday season seems to be very bloggable. At least for some of my favorite bloggers and vloggers. They've been very active lately, which makes me happy.

How was your Halloween? Did ya do anything fun? Or scary? Lemme know down below.

Thanks for reading!
